I've been in love with massage therapy since before I graduated from high school. Having received my first massage at 14 I realized how powerful it was to help people address the daily pain we all deal with that can quickly become chronic. I graduated from Daymar College in Owensboro, Ky in 2010 and have been practicing ever since. I opened Rest Required in 2020 with the intention of providing the personalized focused bodywork for a variety of issues. No two sessions are the same! The variety that the massage field has to offer has always enticed me and I am learning still everyday. I joined the Ivy Tech Massage Therapy program as an instructor in 2021 and enjoy sharing this profession with like minded students. I am currently certified in Myofasical Release, trigger point therapy, cupping, Spontaneous Muscle Release Technique and Usui Reiki.
Meredith Grimwood L.M.T.
Meredith graduated from Bodyworks Massage INSTITUTE in 2013 and became certified in myofascial release in 2015. Educating has always been her passion and she started teaching in the massage therapy program at Ivy tech in 2022. She specializes in Myofasical Work and Theraputic Massage

My interest in massage came from my desire to help people feel better. We often carry so much weight - stress, anxiety, tension, worries, overwhelmed with our to-do list - if I can ease that weight even for just an hour, it's worth it to me.
Through a variety of massage techniques, my desire is to help restore and maintain wellness and balance in your life.
I graduated Ahh Spa massage Academy in 2019. I worked at the top-rated spa for 3 years, harnessing my skill, before branching off to pursue my own practice.

My name is Katrina Boyd. I am a therapist and the owner of Living Story Mental Health & Healing. You are welcome to call me Kate. For over 20 years I have been counseling individuals, helping to navigate their living story- from new life in adoption and pregnancy, through transitions in college, career and relationships to finding peace in grief and end of life. As you are willing to share your story, I wanted to share a bit of mine.
My story starts like many others. Things happened in my childhood that I didn’t understand, couldn’t explain and didn’t know what to do with. Does that sound familiar? I didn’t want to be the bad guy in my story just because bad things happened so I tried to be good- overly good. Perfect. I attached to unhealthy coping and lowered my own self value to keep the peace and please others.
The hardest chapter in my life so far was with the death of my mother. I wasn’t sure I would make it through. My growth and healing journey during this difficult time helped me to connect with who I am, what matters in my world and where to focus my work as a therapist.
This current chapter has me navigating the role of therapist in private practice and single mom to a college student, a teenager and a preschooler. Everything inspires me, life, people, pop culture, nature, everything. Dali, is a large influence on me along with the surrealist movement. I do a diverse range of painting from abstract expressionism to realism, strong design elements. my more recent paintings focus on dreamscapes or odd reflections of the modern world from my eyes.
